高新技术产业开发区

高新区依托“临沪第一城”开放先发优势，在传统“苏南模式”基础上嫁接对德
合作元素，主动融入上海，集聚创新资源，优化产业结构，推进产城融合，
形成独具特色的“太仓实践”，成为区域经济发展主引擎和创新创业核心极。
目前，全区集聚了耐克、积水、特灵、和路雪等一批世界500强企业，以
及舍弗勒、通快、托克斯、克朗斯、巨浪等230多家德资企业，形成了高端装
备制造、汽车关键零部件、新一代电子信息三大高新技术产业集群，获批省
中德先进制造技术国际创新园、高端专用装备特色产业基地、新型工业化示
范基地、两化融合示范区等，高新产业和新兴产业占比分别达50%和57%。

Relying on the advantage as a zone near Shanghai, which allows it to be a
pioneer in opening-up, the high-tech zone integrates the traditional “southern
Jiangsu mode” with the elements based on cooperation with German parties to
take initiative to gear into Shanghai, concentrate innovation resources, optimize
industrial structures and promote industry and city integration to form up the
“Taicang Practices” with unique local characteristics. This enables it to become
a main engine driving regional economic development and play a core role in
innovation and business launch.
So far, there have been a number of Fortune 500 enterprises in the zone,
including Nike, Sekisui, Trane and Wall's, and more than 230 Germany-funded
enterprises, including Schaeffler, Trumpf, Tox, Krones and Chiron. These
enterprises forms up three high-tech industrial clusters focusing on high-end
equipment manufacturing, key auto parts manufacturing and new-generation
electronic information. The zone has been designated as China-Germany
Advanced Manufacturing Technology Innovation Park at provincial level,
High-end Special Equipment Base, Innovative Industrialization Demonstration
Base and Integrated Information Development and Industrialization Demonstration
Base. The high-tech and emerging industries respectively account for 50%
and 57%.
